Hello! This post is heavily overdue, but I wanted to outline my general presentation and discuss my general plan for my talk. After discussing with Mr. Hrin and Sharvani, I've decided to follow a general outline of background and context, research, problems I've encountered, a reflection about what the process has taught me, and ending with some advice for the future 2017-2018 senior research projectors.

I plan on starting out my presentation with a hook on the history of the universe; since most of the audience will be normal high school students or parents who aren't astronomy or astrophysics majors, the Big Bang is a topic that everyone will be well-versed and have heard of. By talking about the creation and history of the universe, I hope to be able to create a smooth segue into the background of my presentation, which will include a few definitions on terms that will be used in the presentation.

Continuing with context, I will spend a few minutes giving more information about the summer program that inspired this research project, UCSC COSMOS. After spending a few minutes talking about the research that was done at COSMOS, I would go in and talk about chemical composition, its significance to my project, and my project's research methodology.

To help the audience understand the importance of my project, I will spend a couple minutes discussing what the chemical composition of star clusters in galaxies that collided can reveal about our universe.

The reflection and advice portion of the project I will go more in detail in my final post, where I will summarize and reflect on the entire senior project experience.
